Oakdale Park Church was established in 1890 on the south side of Grand Rapids and has remained committed to serving God in and through our neighborhood ever since.
Inspired by the resilient oak trees in our neighborhood, we’ve learned that thriving requires standing tall and supporting one another through life’s storms. Our faith community understands that growth and the fruits of the Spirit flourish when we come together, intertwining our lives like the roots of oak trees.
At Oakdale, we are not merely focused on survival; we aim to thrive. Isaiah 61 paints a vision of healing, justice, and equality — ideals that have guided our church for over a century. We are particularly committed to advocating for racial justice and equity, ensuring that every member of our Oakdale neighborhood has enough and lives without fear (Micah 4:1-5).
Today we continue to serve our neighborhood, strengthen our congregation, and spread the Gospel throughout the world by supporting missions.
