I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, grew up in Jenison, married a Canadian, and lived in Canada for part of our marriage.

We now reside in Jenison in the same house we left and bought back after living in Canada. Troy and I have been married for 30+ years.

We have three sons and a daughter, all adults, now, along with one daughter-in-law and one grandson.
Accepting Christ as my personal Savior at a young age, I have never looked back, but instead have tried to trust in him with all my heart, seek him, serve him, and love others through my actions, prayers, and words.

When deciding to accept my positions serving at Oakdale, what attracted me was their desire to, “Love God. Love Others. Right Here.” It resonated with my own heart’s desire and prayer to, “Love God. Love Others. Pray. Worship. Repeat.”

I enjoy serving as the Administrative Coordinator, part-time, and Children’s Ministry Director, part-time, RIGHT HERE at Oakdale Park Church. It is a delight to continue to find new ways to learn and grow in ministry while serving here.

No matter what role or place I find myself, my heart’s hope is that God would call me, use me, send me, and that I would be faithful to obey.

Some of my favorite activities outside of work include listening to worship, audiobooks, and scripture, singing and writing songs, dates with my husband, and watching KDramas or Bollywood with a group of friends.
