“Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.”  1 Thessalonians 2:8

This summer, Oakdale Park Church is inviting children of all ages to remain in the sanctuary with us as we worship instead of going to separate spaces for nursery and children’s worship. While the impetus for this decision was the COVID-19 pandemic, research from organizations like Lifelong Faith and the Fuller Youth Institute show that keeping children in worship with their families, including their church family, has a lasting impact on their faith. Children who have relationships with people of all ages in their church family are more rooted in the life of the church and more resilient in their faith. Worshipping together may be the most powerful way for us to know one another and instill a sense of belonging in us as a family in Christ.
